RockSchool is a contemporary, industry led Music & Performance hub providing the very best in teaching and learning from professional tutors who have built their careers working in the music and entertainment industry.
Our collective of expert tutors have extensive teaching experience, having taught at Pineapple Dance Studio London, BIMM, The Birmingham Royal Conservatoire, top London stage and drama schools and industry-recognised music institutes, as well as coaching on major TV shows such as BGT, The X Factor and The Voice UK, giving students access to higher level of training and further arts education possibilities.
RockSchool students experience the entertainment industry from all angles, providing them with real-world skills that will help turn their dreams into reality.
Providing a program of industry led courses in Vocal, Instrumental, Dance, Acting, Musical Theatre, Sound and Music Production, RockSchool boasts two outstanding Training Facilities. Our home facility, Riverside Studios in Kingsbury, is a custom-built, state-of-the art hub comprising a multi-function dance studio, a suite of music and vocal practice rooms for one-to-one and small-group tuition and a fully equipped, industry-specified recording studio for our inspiring artistes and music producers.
Our ‘On Location’ facility, the multi-million pound refurbished Tamworth Assembly Rooms, hosts our program of group and ensemble lessons in Musical Theatre, Dance, Acting and Music, as well as our specialised Audio / Visual courses.
Masterclasses and Workshops feature throughout the year taught by VIP tutors direct from the music industry, Broadway and London’s West End, as well as world class performance opportunities to demonstrate their progression. RockSchool students gain an outstanding level of training and opportunities, working with some of the best coaches in the industry at industry recognised facilities, elevating their skills, ability and success.
RockSchool Director - Katie Ashby
Katie has worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years and is the founding member and lead singer of the The D-Day Darlings who found fame on Britain's Got Talent in 2018. Katie & The D-Day Darlings are also signed to one of the biggest record labels in the world – Sony Music UK – receiving a BRIT award for their smash hit album "I'll Remember you", reaching number 5 in the Official UK album charts.
