Katie Ashby

Katie Ashby is the Director of Riverside Studios UK (RSUK) and Rock School, where she leads the development of creative training and performance opportunities for the next generation of young performers.

With over 30 years’ experience in the entertainment industry, Katie is a singer, songwriter, actress, producer and director, bringing extensive real-world industry experience into the training and development of young people. She is passionate about building confidence, creativity and professional skills, helping students develop both as performers and individuals.

Katie is also the founder and lead singer of the acclaimed The D-Day Darlings, who rose to national prominence on Britain’s Got Talent and went on to achieve BRIT Certified recording success with Sony Music UK. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside names including Dame Vera Lynn, Sir Paul McCartney and Simon Cowell, and has performed on national television and at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall and London Palladium.

Alongside her work at RSUK, Katie is a director of Revival Live UK, producing and directing professional live entertainment and stage productions in the UK and internationally.

Through RSUK, Rock School and its expanding education programmes, Katie’s focus is on giving young performers the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, gain genuine performance experience and develop the skills and confidence needed to take their next steps in the performing arts.
