The Musical Theatre industry is a business, and it is essential to not only have the skills to perform but also to maximise your professional potential and understand how to implement strategies which will help build your own work either in between or alongside professional contracted jobs.   • Musical Theatre BTEC L3 Diploma

    Equivalent to 3 A-Levels & UCAS Recognised.
  • UCAS Accredited exams

    Singing, Dance, Music, and Acting.
  • Industry Focused Training

    Including audition prep, repertoire, self-representation, business lessons, digital promotion, media training and Film & TV workshops.
  • Professional Resources

    Every student receives an Equity & Spotlight account, plus a professional vocal, acting, and dance reel, headshots, access to computers and recording equipment.

SCHOLARSHIPS, BURSARIES & FEES

Pathway Weekly Hours Annual Fee Includes
Core BTEC (Funded) 15 hrs FREE All mandatory and optional BTEC units.
BTEC + Elite Top-Up 27 hrs £2,000/yr +12 hrs advanced training, masterclasses, 1:1, showcases.

At RSUK Theatre Arts, we believe finances should never hold back talent. Through our own support schemes and our partnership with VLUK, we make professional-level training as accessible as possible.

  • RSUK Bursary Scheme

    We offer means-tested bursaries to support families who may need help with costs.
    • Open to students who receive an offer of a place.
    • Awards are based on household income (guide: up to £55,000).
    • Can cover part or full contributions towards top-up fees.
  • RSUK Talent Scholarships

    Outstanding performers deserve recognition.
    • Scholarships may cover 20%–100% of top-up fees.
    • Awarded at the time of your audition offer, based on talent and potential.

  • VLUK 16–19 Government Bursary Fund

    As an RSUK student, you’ll also be enrolled with VLUK, giving access to the national 16–19 Bursary Fund.
    • This government scheme can help with travel, books, meals, and equipment.
    • Applications are made at enrolment with guidance from the RSUK and VLUK team.

FEES & PAYMENT PLAN

  • Government-Funded Core

    Your 15 core hours per week are fully funded by the government through VLUK.
  • RSUK Top-Up Training

    Our enhanced 27-hour training week, packed with specialist coaching, masterclasses, and performance projects, is delivered with a Top-Up Fee of £2,000 per year.
  • Flexible Payment Options

    • Annual: £2,000 upfront at the start of the year.
    • Termly: 3 × £666.66 (start of each term).
